Regular Board Meeting

Board President Tracy Meyer called the Regular Meeting to order at 6:00 p.m. Present were Directors Kipp, and Durnil.  Absent: Gergen and Ryken.  Also present: BJ Meaney, Superintendent/HS Principal, Prk-5 Principal/Curriculum Director Krista Pugh and Kelly Zahrt, Board Secretary/Treasurer.

Motioned by Kipp, seconded by Durnil to approve the Consent Agenda consisting of Minutes and Financials; all ayes.

Public Comment: None.

Motioned by Durnil, seconded by Kipp to approve the appointments of Brett Robbins – Boy’s Wrestling Coach, Madalyn Petsche – Spec Ed Teacher, Alytheia Barnes – Bus Driver, Liz Harbaugh – MS Spec Ed Teacher, Kennedy Lape – Elementary Teacher, Ashlynn Yokom – Co-Cross-Country Coach, Chris Coffman – 2nd Assistant Baseball; all ayes.

Motioned by Kipp, seconded by Durnil to approve the resignations of Sydney Hubrig – MS Spec Ed Teacher, Richard White – Boys HS Track Coach, Patrick Murray – JH FB Asst and JH Basketball Coach; all ayes.

Motioned by Durnil, seconded by Kipp to approve increase in Official Pay as presented; all ayes.

Motioned by Durnil, seconded by Kipp to approve the Wapsie Valley Facility Operations and Maintenance Manager Sharing Agreement for 25-26; all ayes.

Motioned by Kipp, seconded by Durnil to approve the Tripoli Band Teacher Sharing Agreement for 25-26; all ayes.

Motioned by Kipp, seconded by Durnil to approve the Cedar Falls Athletic Sharing Agreement for 25-26; all ayes.

Motioned by Kipp, seconded by Durnil to approve the AEA Special Education Transfer of State Funding for 25-26; all ayes.

Motioned by Durnil, seconded by Kipp to approve AEA 25-26 Work Based Learning Coordinator Contract Operational Share and Work Experience Agreement; all ayes.

Motioned by Durnil, seconded by Kipp to approve K-2 Chrome Tablet Purchase for FY 25-26 in the amount of $38,040 using REAP funds; all ayes.

Motioned by Durnil, seconded by Kipp to approve Photography Contract from Troy Bass Photography for FY 25-27; all ayes.

Motioned by Kipp, seconded by Durnil to approve the Business Manager paying FY 25 bills as needed; all ayes.

Superintendent Meaney discussed possible SRO Share, Wrestling Room Change Order, Property Tax Final Rate and the Insurance Risk Pool for Tornado, Wind and Hail.

Principal Pugh reviewed the Preliminary State Testing Scores with the Board.

Next Meeting Date is August 4, 2025 at 6 p.m.
